Cinema Eye Announces Change to Nominee Selection and Will Reveal Titles in Contention for the 2013 Honors Next Week
Nominations for the Cinema Eye Honors is something we doc fans really look forward to every fall, and I’ve just heard that this year’s announcement will be happening in about a week, on November 2. That’s a bit later than last year’s announcement, and it’s the only change this year. Instead of being named from London through the partnership of the Sheffield Doc/Fest, this year nominees will be revealed from Los Angeles during a reception held in conjunction with the AFI Film Festival.
“While Cinema Eye remains a great New York City event, we’re excited to be able to celebrate this year’s nominees with the great documentary community in Los Angeles,” said Cinema Eye co-chair Esther Robinson in the press release statement. “And we’re so glad to be partnering with our friends at AFI FEST for the first time, and to include our esteemed West Coast colleagues.”
